On April 23, former Attorney General Eric Holder sat down with Sherrilyn Ifill, president and director-counsel at the NAACP Legal Defense Fund, and Jeffrey Rosen, president and CEO of the National Constitution Center, for a lively conversation about the promise of the 14th Amendment and why racial justice still matters today.

This keynote conversation, presented by the Thurgood Marshall Institute in partnership with the National Constitution Center, capped a daylong symposium commemorating the 150th anniversary of the 14th Amendment — its history as part of Reconstruction, our public memory around its significance, and its constitutional meaning today and in the years to come.
