Cassandra Mensah is the Archives Counsel of LDF’s Thurgood Marshall Institute. Here, she provides detailed privilege review of LDF’s extensive archives to assess which items LDF can share with third party researchers and the general public. Prior to joining LDF and TMI, she worked as an attorney at the National Women’s Law Center on the Education & Workplace Justice team. There, she advanced federal and state policies for marginalized students and represented a student survivor of sexual harassment in federal court. Cassandra graduated from CUNY School of Law in 2019, during which she interned at LDF as a rising 3L. Outside of work, Cassandra is a hobbyist ceramist and an avid reader of comic books, non-fiction essays, and literary fiction.
