Kimberly Villafuerte Barzola

Kimberly Villafuerte Barzola Assistant Archivist

Kimberly Villafuerte Barzola is an Assistant Archivist in LDF's Archives department housed in the Thurgood Marshall Institute. Prior to joining LDF, Kimberly worked on community-based oral history projects with the Boston Public Library's Community History Department and the Boston Research Center that aimed to grow archival collections documenting the lives of working class, Black and Latino communities of Boston.  

 

Kimberly holds a Master of Science in Library and Information Science (MSLIS) degree with a concentration in Archival Management from Simmons University's School of Library and Information Science where she was the recipient of the George A. Strait Minority Fellowship and Scholarship from the American Association of Law Libraries and was a Kaleidoscope Scholar awarded by the Association of Research Libraries. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Agrarian Studies from Boston University.
