Ashton Wingate is the Manager of Digital Archives at LDF. Since joining the organization in 2019, he has worked alongside his colleagues in the Archive Department to preserve LDF’s history and assist staff with leveraging the historical information within the Archives to further LDF’s mission.
Ashton is a graduate of The Catholic University of America with a Masters degree in Library and Information Science and also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communications Media from North Carolina State University. Before coming to LDF, Ashton spent three years with the D.C. Public Library in a community outreach role promoting the library’s early literacy programming.
Equal access to information for all continues to be foundational principle that guides his passion for archival work and helps him serve LDF’s mission through preserving its records and providing access to the valuable knowledge they hold.
