The Thurgood Marshall Institute now houses all of its publications on SSRN, formerly known as the Social Science Research network. SSRN is an open access research platform, allowing individuals unfettered access to all previous TMI publications online. Through SSRN, The Thurgood Marshall Institute houses a quarterly journal, the LDF Thurgood Marshall Institute Social Science Review (TMISSR). TMISSR echoes LDF’s ongoing commitment to accessible and impactful social science research. This virtual repository hosts a diverse array of content, from TMI’s reports and briefs to toolkits, abstracts, and podcasts, all delving into LDF’s four core pillars: voting rights, criminal justice reform, education equity, and economic justice. TMISSR isn’t just a collection of papers; it’s a platform amplifying the power of law, narrative, research, and people, to defend and advance the full dignity and citizenship of Black people in America. By applying social science methodologies, our research aims to be both rigorous and approachable, fostering a balance between academic depth and public accessibility. The papers are published electronically on TMI’s site, providing easy access, here. Through TMISSR, our goal is not just to inform but to transform narratives, challenge perceptions and contribute to the creation of a more just democracy for all.
